Lance Mero was born an only child to his Midlander parents of antique-like ancestry rooted in a long line of intricate staff crafting that had then branched, in more recent times, towards the art of creating musical instruments (luthiery). The Elementals blessed his birth into the world as a truly pure existence that had come from those devoted to an undying appreciation for woodworks and earthly faith; as such, he was born with bumps upon his head undetected as horns until a bit later in childhood. This also ensured his survivability, for had his creation not been given fated purpose, his fragile mother, unwavering in her mission to have even managed conceiving a son, would likely not have been able to deliver him in lively health. His heart remains weak because of this.Upon recognition as a horned and pointed-ear Padjal, following tradition, Lance was bestowed upon the Stillglade Fane and indoctrinated according to the aetheric waves sung to him by the Elementals—born anew with fated purpose as Ae-Lans-Mero. His aging further slowed until he outlived both parents and physically stunted as a young adult. Still, Ae-Lans is committed to meditating on his acute powers and teaching others about the practices of Conjury, a magic he feels he owes his life to. There is no denying his potent strength and wise knowledge when it comes to the matters of healing—even when one is on the very brink of death.:: P E R S O N A L I T Y ::
At best, Ae-Lans is a beacon of patience, sparkling with optimistic hope and worldly yearning to reach out to all those in need of his abilities. At worst, however, his beliefs sometimes seem almost Puritan; he can be a rather stubborn killjoy when confronted with certain morals and mask sourly hints of sass with careful wording if warranted. But he strives to better understand human principals (and himself) from all perspectives and firmly believes in the benefit of the doubt. His glass is half full, the world is inherently good, and everyone deserves to live.The vast majority of his time is spent in Gridania and even more within the Stillglade Fane. He is not, however, confined strictly to the Black Shroud and has recently begun to test the taboo of exploring beyond the forests he knows best, slowly but surely spending a day here or a weekend there. Any other free time is likely occupied by his indescribable love for the cello. Stringed instruments are his loyal affinity—be it crafting them or playing them, one is sure to understand his adoration for the arts of the world if given the opportunity to watch him live through music. Similarly, he harbors a talent for painting and ceramics that sometimes leave pale hands spotted in colored oils or drying clay, both materials' aroma forever lingering in his clothes.Interestingly, even somewhat unbeknownst to him, Ae-Lans harbors powers that can quickly become devastating if not controlled. Perhaps it is best not to prod overly-negative emotions unless one wants to risk a searing attack from lightning long withheld in the body of someone so seemingly unintimidating...

Ae-Lans's game name of "Ae-lans- Mero" is incorrectly conceived the way it is because of Final Fantasy XIV's very annoying, unavoidable, and automatic character name formatting; it allows for uppercase first letters only (no other letter can be!), the need for a first and last name with a space between, etc.It understandably does not allow for Padjali conventions to work without looking a little silly because they are not expected to be created and played. I also understand that some people may have issues with the fact that I am playing one considering their extreme rarity and other points but I am very proud to finally have braved writing as the character I'd wanted to be ever since falling in love with their existence years ago. Role-play is for imaginative fun and that is what I'm having. ♡

Hello! ♡ I am not the best at talking about myself, but if you have any questions, please feel free to ask me in whatever way you find easiest to reach out through...!IC ≠ OOC. As a human, I am definitely not perfect, but I try my best to avoid and am highly uncomfortable with drama. That being said, I have been writing almost all my life and RPing since roughly 2008, so I enjoy doing so immensely and prefer paragraph style (but I will match others if needed in the moment). Adult content is only to be played out between two consenting parties over eighteen.I've no notable triggers. Certain topics (as I'm sure are common sense and relatable amongst many) make me nervous but I'd be sure to say so if things ever got to that point. As a friend, I tend to feel I'm a wonderful listener and offer the best advice I can, so you can come to me for anything! I'm a very laid-back, open, and patient soul.As a last note...
